Validating an Email Address


If a user adds a secondary email address to their account, they must first validate it before they can begin using it.  A verification email will be sent to the NEW address allowing the user to activate it.


If the user has not verified the new address:


  • They will not be able to login with the new address
  • If the user requests a password reset, they will not be allowed to update the password.  Instead, they will receive an error stating the link has expired.


Validate a Users Email Address as an Administrator 


If a user is having troubling validating an email address, and administrator can do it for them.  


  • Search the User and open their profile
  • Click the gear icon to access the user's settings
  • Click validate email address  
  • The email address is now valid

If the validate email address option does not exist, the user does not have any addresses that need to be validated
