Super Admins, app admins and team admins have the ability to edit multiple users profile fields at one time. For example, you may want to change several users office address or location without having to edit each profile individually.
Download and update member spreadsheet
From the left hand navigation, search and click on "Member Management". Click on the XLS download button to email yourself a file of all the users in the system and their profile fields.
One you receive this file in your inbox, delete all the column you do not wish to update, except for the user_id or email (which you will need to keep for the upload). See sample below of my edited spreadsheet, where my goal is to add a location name to both members profiles:
It is important to keep the headers generated in line 1 as is, so the system can identify the correct field. You'll only need to keep the users on this spreadsheet that you want to update, not all the users in your system.
Once your spreadsheet is updated, be sure to save as in the file format Comma Separated Values (.csv).
Upload revised spreadsheet
Search in the left hand navigation and click on "CSV Importer" which will look like the below:
Click on "Choose File" and select your CSV. If for some reason your file is not uploading, please follow these steps:
- Right click on the csv file from your desktop click on "open with" and select "TextEdit". If you don't have an open with option, please click edit
- This will open the file in Notepad
- Click on the edit menu in Notepad and choose select all to highlight everything
- Once everything is highlighted, click on the edit menu and select copy
- Now in the app go to the CSV importer
- Right click in the dialog box that says Or Copy and Paste CSV here and select paste
This will populate the column headers of the fields on your spreadsheet (which are hardcoded) - so be sure to also select the check box next to "Include unmapped fields" to include any profile fields not listed on this page. See screenshot below:
Click on "Continue & Preview", then you'll see the final page which shows a line for each member you are updating (see below).
Click on "Insert & Update Members" - be sure to leave this page running until the upload finishes (don't click around on this page while in process). Once the update is complete, you'll see a confirmation at the top of the page.
