Admins with access to "move and merge" have the ability to move posts from one folder to another folder, which may be within the same room or in another room. Move and merge allows you to move posts without changing the timestamp of post creation or sending notifications.
Tips on move and merge:
- Move and merge will work best when the forms are the same, such as moving a folder using a discussion form to another folder using a discussion form. Moving posts to a form without all the same fields as the original form, may lose information in the move.
- You need to be a room owner of any room in which you wish to use move and merge
Locate and begin "move and merge"
In search bar at the top of your left hand navigation, search for "move and merge".
Select the room and folder of posts you wish to move (this will move all posts in the selected folder).
Then select the room and folder the posts are moving into.
If you wish to remove the original folder after the merge, check the move "remove the original folder after the merge".
Click on "Merge Folder"
