By default, only room owners and post creators can view posts in a request room. However, there may be times when you want others to access a specific post. To allow this, you can add a Watcher field to the forms used in the room.

Important: Each folder in a room uses its own form. If different folders use different forms, you’ll need to update each form separately.

How to Add a Watcher Field to a Form

  • Go to the room and click the gear icon.

  • Scroll down to the Add or remove folders section.

  • Locate the form name associated with each folder — these are the forms you’ll need to update.

  • Open the Form Builder (use the left navigation search to find it).

  • Search for the form name.

  • Click the pencil icon next to the form you want to edit.

  • Click Confirm.

  • Scroll to the bottom of the form settings and click Add new form field.

  • Select From scratch.

  • Choose Mention as the field type.

  • Enter watcher as the Input Name.

  • Click Add field.

  • Click the three dots next to the trash icon.

  • In the Input label, Post label, and Search label fields, type:
Add additional member to view ticket
(Note: These fields do not support copy/paste.)

  • Scroll to Custom Settings and enable:
Watcher Field (Allows users mentioned to see owner-only posts even if they     are not the room owner or post creator)

  • Click Save.

The field should now be visible to room owners and post creators for posts using the updated forms.
