If you have configured syncing with an external system such as Azure Active Directory, you can configure user attributes to sync to user profiles. 

Profile fields that you are going to sync need to be configured on the profile form before you can configure user attribute syncing.  


You must be an App Admin or Super Admin to perform the steps below.


Configure User Attribute Syncing 

  • Login to the app
  • Search for Member Management in the left nav 
  • Select External Sync 
  • Click the pencil on the sync connection you'd like to edit 
  • At the top of the screen select User Attributes
  • Scroll to the bottom of the screen and click Add another mapping
  • DO NOT REMOVE any of the existing fields
  • Click the drop down arrow on the User attribute to match field
  • Select the profile field to sync
  • If the field you want to sync doesn't exist, click the Update profile form 
  • Enter the name of the field as it appears in the remote system.  For example, last name in Azure, is surname.   
  • Click save

The next time the sync runs, the attributes will be added to the users profiles.


If you have configured attribute groups, it can take up to two hours for members to be added to the group.
