Switch to a Member
App Admins and Super Admins are able to switch into the user profile of other team members. This ability is in an effort to troubleshoot any issues that user in question may be having.
Navigate to the user's profile > select the gear icon or the last icon on their profile tab. Then select the "switch to this member" button.
You are now masquerading as the user you have selected. You will be brought to the homepage and can now navigate the app as the user you have chosen.
*Please note that any changes you make or posts that you create while masquerading as the user will appear as though that user did the action.
To switch back to your original profile - navigate to the user profile icon in the top right corner of the application. Once selected, a dropdown of options will appear. Select the "switch back" button.
Disable A Member
Team Admins, App Admins, and Super Admins are able to disable other members. This action is generally meant to turn user profiles off who are no longer with the organization. If a user profile is disabled accidentally or that user has come back to the organization, the above Admins are then also able to reenable that profile. Once reenabled, the user will have the same access to their profile as before it was disabled.
To disable a member - navigate to the user's profile > select the gear icon or the last icon on their profile tab. Then select the "disable member" button.
Reenable A Member
Once a user has been disabled, you may choose to reenable that user at a later time. To reenable a member, start by navigating to Search > Member Search.
After selecting the Member Search - select the "search disabled users" checkbox at the button of the search window. You may then select the search/spyglass button to bring back ALL disabled users OR type in the specific name of the user you are searching for and select the search/spyglass button.
Once you've found the member you'd like to reenable. You'll follow the same steps taken to disable a member.
Make A User External or Internal
Users can be set as external or internal to your application. Typically most all users will be automatically set as internal. However, there is also the case to set some users as external, like a contractor. They are given access to your application are not actually a part of your organization.
To switch the status of a user, simply navigate to their profile and then toggle the on/off switch on the "set member as external" button. The below image shows that the user is currently set to internal. Toggling the switch will make this user external.
Reset Tutorials
When new users first sign in to the application, a few helpful tutorials are set to pop up with guiding instruction. Should a user wish to go through these tutorials again, an Admin can reset these so that they will again appear.
To reset a user's tutorials, navigate to their profile page and click on the "reset tutorials" button.
Log Member Out
Admins have the ability to log a user out of all of their devices. This can be handy if a user is experiencing an issue and needs to troubleshoot or perhaps reset their password recently and needs to get signed back in properly.
To log a user out, navigate to that user's profile and select the "log member out of all devices" button.
